Energyworks provides mechanical support to Alstom Switzerland and Contact Energy for the 350MW Taranaki Combined Cycle Power Station and we have successfully completed several major mechanical maintenance outages and plant upgrades.
The Taranaki Combined Cycle Power Station (TCC) is a large, efficient and modern plant, producing 377MW of electricity. The heart of TCC is one of the largest gas turbines in the world housed in a single building.
In addition, the company was responsible for installing 2 x LMS100 Gas Turbine Generators for both Contact Energy’s Stratford Peaker Project and the Nova Energy Peaker Project Plant. The fast-start gas turbine peaking units located at each site, supply enough electricity for 200,000 average homes and can go from a cold start to full load in just 10 minutes.
Energyworks also provides mechanical support to Trust Power on its Hydro Power Stations.
